ABOUT US

         The Lion Walkers Association started in the year 2010, initially it was located at Panchsheel Colony Road No.4, Alwal. Team has arranged cement benches for the association members and around 20+ walkers used to join there after walking and were having tea/ biscuits after morning walk every day. The initial monthly subscription was of Rs. 50/-, gradually the number of members increased month on month and the subscription was also increased from Rs. 50/- to Rs. 500/- monthly.

      Now the Association strengthen has increased to 135 members and is growing month on month with subscription fee of Rs. 800/-

         In the year 2024 The Lion Walkers Association was renamed as ” THE LION WALKERS WELLNESS AND WELFARE SOCIETY” and it is registered under The Telangana Society Act of year 2024 on Dt. 24/April, 2024 and Regd NO.387/2024.

 

     The association if formally electing its executive body and the key posts are PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENTS, GEN. SEC, JOINT SEC, Treasurer AND 12 members of the managing committee maintain the club.

         The association has all the flavours of people in the society starting from Farmers, Teachers, Judiciary Judges and Advocates, Engineers, Retd. Police officers, Business people, NRIS, Chartered Accountants.

     The association vision is to provide a club, which will be a filled with recreation activities, Yoga centre, and many other facilities where the members can come and relax themselves.

AIMs/OBJECTIVEs:

  • To provide a sense of mutual cooperation and respect: Develop fellow feeling, build character, and promote prosperity among club members.
  • To offer physical and mental recreation: Develop social and cultural contacts, provide infrastructure and facilities for the development of sports, games, and arts. Organize social, cultural, and educational functions, seminars, and arrange screenings of educative and entertaining films/dramas. Host festivals like Holi Milan, Diwali Nite, New Year (Telugu, English), Ganesh Chaturthi, Batukamma, and musical functions.
  • To collaborate with other associations and societies: Work with associations having similar aims and objectives, and hold exhibitions, etc.
  • To affiliate with other reputable clubs: Make efforts to affiliate the club with other clubs of repute that share similar aims and objectives.
  • To provide bar facilities and promote healthy activities: Offer bar facilities to club members, and raise awareness of social service and responsibilities to society.
